OliveLit experts were part of a high level Restructuring / Privatization team that successfully presented the case of Pakistan’s largest telecom service provider to the country’s President, Prime Minister and highest government officials in a high level Privatization decision making meeting in 2004. Decision had to be taken whether to privatize the company after splitting it into smaller units (a la Baby Bells in the US) or privatize it as ‘one unit’. The team argued for a ‘one unit’ sale against another strong local and international industry group that argued for a break up before selling the entity. The decision was taken in favor of sale as ‘one entity’.

The experts were also part of the in house team that was responsible for formulation and completion of the due diligence and privatization process, in partnership with the official consultants, Goldman Sachs.
